Job Overview:
The Travel Agency Operations Supervisor will oversee the smooth functioning of daily operations, ensuring that all processes run efficiently and that clients receive exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in travel services, operational management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the travel agency, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and lead a team of travel agents, coordinators, and support staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and mentorship.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing client concerns, managing escalations, and improving service delivery.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and streamline operational workflows, implementing best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with travel service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendor agreements are upheld.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of travel itineraries, packages, and services to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with industry regulations and company policies, including data protection and safety protocols.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on team performance, client feedback, and operational metrics for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in travel operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Should be certified by IATA (Basic or Advanced).
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus) and customer relationship management software.
    • Familiarity with international travel regulations and industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Amadeus GDS.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages.
